A Matter Of Inches
23 week old fetus-->
This makes perfect sense to me.
Eighteen and pregnant, Sycloria Williams went to an abortion clinic outside Miami and paid $1,200 for Dr. Pierre Jean-Jacque Renelique to terminate her 23-week pregnancy.Three days later, she sat in a reclining chair, medicated to dilate her cervix and otherwise get her ready for the procedure.
Only Renelique didn't arrive in time. According to Williams and the Florida Department of Health, she went into labor and delivered a live baby girl.
What Williams and the Health Department say happened next has shocked people on both sides of the abortion debate: One of the clinic's owners, who has no medical license, cut the infant's umbilical cord. Williams says the woman placed the baby in a plastic biohazard bag and threw it out.
Police recovered the decomposing remains in a cardboard box a week later after getting anonymous tips.
Even pro-choice groups are expressing "concern".
"It really disturbed me," said Joanne Sterner, president of the Broward County chapter of the National Organization for Women, after reviewing the administrative complaint against Renelique. "I know that there are clinics out there like this. And I hope that we can keep (women) from going to these types of clinics."
She's concerned alright--concerned about the political fallout for what is tantamount to statutory murder. But should we be shocked? The mother went to a clinic whose function is to terminate the life of an unwanted child. The objective was that the child die under legal circumstances--in the womb. It was literally a matter of inches between a legal abortion and an illegal murder.
The event demonstrates how tortured the argument about abortion is. I can't see the difference and let's be clear--neither could the medical assistant who bagged and dumped the child. When you can accept the idea that someone should die because they are an inconvenience in your life, then all sorts of acts become possible.
Three year old Kaylee Anthony was cramping her mother's style, so she also was bagged and dumped. I am amazed when I hear people asking how anyone could do anything like this--22% of all pregnancies end in abortion in this country--over a million a year. 50 million since Roe v. Wade made it legal. That's 50 million times a woman said, "the kid is cramping my style--its gotta go."
If you think about it, isn't that what murder is? Getting rid of someone who is cramping your style?

STUPAK HAS ANNOUNCED HE'LL VOTE YES. IN A FEW MINUTES, THE US BECOMES A SOCIALIST COUNTRY.
