Barney Frank's Seat Official In Play

Barney Frank's seat, at one time considered among the very safest Democrat seats in the nation, went from sure thing to 'likely Democrat' a few weeks ago, to 'leans Democrat' yesterday.

The trend is not good for Franks, the amanuensis of the mortgage melt-down. Its entirely within the realm of possibility that over the weekend he could find himself in the 'toss-up' column, and if that happens, I'd say he's out.

We'll undoubtedly have more news on Monday because this race is going to get the beans polled out of it in the next couple of days. Franks opponent is a attractive, genial and whip-smart Sean Bielat who just oozes leadership in much the same way Scott Brown did. I hesitate to put too much confidence in Bielat's internal polling, but he stated on the Hannity show that his campaign was within the margin of error.

If Franks goes down, I'm buying nice steaks for the whole family.

AC Chickadee:

Oh, how very gratifying it would be to see Frank go down. I'm getting nervous though. The Democrats could steal these elections, especially if they're close.
