Max Baucus was reelected last year by a comfortable margin, which apparently entitles him to be drunk on the Senate floor.
If Montanans didn't object to Max being on the take, or winning reelection by smearing his 2002 opponent as 'gay', or nominating his girlfriend to be the U.S. attorney for the state; they won't be too upset that he apparent drinks on the job--lots of Montanans do.
Montana is a top five state for alcoholism.
